Constitution

  1. The Club shall be called Turkey Club UK
  2. The aim of Turkey Club shall be:
    1. Conserve and promote all standard UK breeds / varieties of turkey
    2. Promote the breeding and exhibition of turkeys
    3. Establish and maintain the Standards
    4. Promote classification of turkeys at shows
  3. The Club subscription must be fixed at an AGM.  Club subscriptions are payable annually
  4. All members must demonstrate acceptable behaviour within the club and on all  social media sites to ensure the enjoyment of other members is not undermined.
  5. The Club shall be under the direction and management of a Committee.  This shall consist of  the President, , Vice President(s), Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer, plus two other members.  To provide continuity, the afore mentioned Committee members will serve for 3 years (and can be re-elected after this time). Four committee members shall be a quorum.  The committee shall have powers of co-option.
  6. Twenty per cent of membership can call for an Extraordinary General Meeting within 14 days.
  7. In the event of a vacancy occurring in the Committee or the Officers, the Committee shall have the power to fill such a vacancy until the next Annual General Meeting.
  8. The Annual General Meeting shall be held during the Club Show, or another principal show, to receive the report of the Committee, to elect officers for the ensuing year and to transact any other business connected with the Club.  At such meetings only, shall the Club rules be amended, or new rules introduced. Due notice of any changes shall have been sent to the members fourteen or more days before the date of the Annual General Meeting.
  9. Perpetual Challenge Cups shall only be open to members whose subscriptions are not in arrears.

Privacy Statement: TCUK respects its members data and will not share their personal data detail unless you have given consent to share with other members. The club will share members details where appropriate with senior members of the committee to promote Breeders and the club.  The club periodically undertakes a survey to inform the club of numbers of standard turkeys kept and breed each year.  It is a requirement that the club provides APHA with the totals of these each year.
