I have just heard from Trading Standards and Steven Lister that DEFRA have today put out a nationwide ban on bird gatherings involving chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, quail, partridge and pheasants at fairs, shows and auctions until further notice.  For further information please see the DEFRA Website
