It is sad news to hear that Will Burdett died early this morning.
There has been several local shows cancelled recently stating lack of entries, or people concerned about the condition of the birds given most have had a late moult! These shows are important for beginners and the more experienced to show birds. Take time to find out what the dates are for your local show and take a Turkey they will be pleased to see you!
Don’t forget to send the club the results and a picture or two!
Great news! Sarah Hawkeswood wishes to remain as show stand secretary. Sarah will stand along with other committee members to be re-elected at the AGM at Telford. This is great news for the club her enthusiasm for turkeys and the turkey club will continue at her local shows, National and Federation.
But Sarah can not go to all the shows across the country! If you would like to help promote Turkey Club at your local agricultural and poultry shows, let us know they are great fun and you get to spend time talking turkey!
The club still needs someone to assist with sending rosettes out, liaising with clubs and collecting show results.
